Today we would like to talk about it because we have to start it, if we haven’t done yet. What are the first steps of beginning with the digital transformation in a company?
Obviously if we ask managers if the digital transformation is important, the answer will be affirmative. Nobody wants to stay behind, because that means dying in a completely digitalized context. However, let’s not forget that a process of technological transformation is not only to implement artificial intelligence systems, or big data. These are just tools and will not work without there being no business strategy and vision behind it. In addition, we must bear in mind that the future, although moving and fully changing and unpredictable, does not mean that we do not have to do anything about it.
And if you wonder how much it costs, ask yourself how much it costs not to implement it. Finally, people and the customer are the centre of any effective strategy. The more machines we have, the more human policies we need in the company.
But, HOW TO BOOST DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION?
According to Conxi Perez, the steps to follow are:
- Start to shape it. Identifying the business need, the sense of urgency, the “what for”. Also look for the cross teams and the potential of the people.
- Measure where you are, diagnose the starting situation well: we aware of where you are in, what has been done and what not, what level of digital knowledge is in the organization, etc
- Define the specific initiatives. And get ready for the implementation, in a way based on collaboration since minute -1
